Professor of Urban Studies and Development
Zhang Li (Ph.D., University of Washington-Seattle) is a Professor of Urban Studies and Development at Fudan University. His research interests are China’s urban and regional development, political economy of migration and urbanization, urban social geography, and migrant housing. He authored an academic book in English, co-authored three books in English, and published more than forty peer-reviewed journal articles. His journal papers have been cited more than 500 times according to SSCI. Dr. Zhang led or participated in the projects funded by international organizations and foundations and was invited to give talks and presentations on the international conferences a number of times. He has been invited as an external reviewer to assess manuscripts submitted to a dozen of prominent international journals.
