Nancy J. Fairley

Nancy J. FairleyNancy J. Fairley received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from State University of New York. She is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Virginia and DavidsonCollege, Davidson, N.C. Since 1996 she has directed Davidson’s summer academic program in the West African Nation of Ghana. She received a Fulbright Fellowship in 1999-2000 to study African Americans who recently repatriated to that country. Prof. Fairley’s research interests are Atlantic African cultures and civilizations, gender gap and family, Diaspora Africans (North and South America, Caribbean).
